Denise Chan is an actress, writer and online content creator. She is of Chinese descent and was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. She first discovered her passion for storytelling at age 8, taking Drama classes taught by Dustin Clare and playing Agamemnon in a cabaret performance of a scene from 'Iphigenia in Aulis'. Denise then went on to study Drama under the guidance of Lisa Wright during her high school years and at age 15 played lead role 'Alice' in her high school's original musical production 'Alice in Cyberspace'. After studying accounting and working in an asset management firm, Denise found her way back into the performing arts in 2018, studying the Meisner Technique with Billy Milionis at The Actors Pulse and the Showreel Course at Screenwise Film & TV School. Denise has also studied with Anthony Brandon Wong in the Chubbuck technique. In 2020, Denise wrote and produced her first short film 'What Community Means to Me - An Analysis' which went on to win Best Solo/Ensemble Performance in the Short Stuff Film Competition. Denise continues to study at The Actors Pulse and is also learning taekwondo. In her spare time, she enjoys writing poetry, recording music and spending time with family. She aims to bring her life experiences to the screen, showing that in diversity, we find universality in what it means to be human.
