Anthony Davey is an experienced composer, producer and multi instrumentalist. He is the sole composer of the full soundtrack and theme music for the BBC1 series, 'Home From Home', starring Johnny Vegas and Emilia Fox, and due to air in April 2018. The series follows the lives of 2 very different families, living opposite each other on a holiday park in the Lake District. Anthony's work features a bespoke folk / jazz score, for all 6 episodes, composed and drafted at Anthony's project studio in Hebden Bridge, and realised at his co-owned professional studio, Airtight Productions, in Manchester, UK. The score features arrangements for various brass and string session players, as well as Anthony's own performances on guitar, banjo, bodhran, bass, vocals and harmonica. The finished score was mastered at Airtight and delivered to Core Post, in October 2017. Anthony was the composer of the theme music for the Jim Jefferies' live stand-up comedy DVD 'Contraband' and has also written scores and themes for PC/video game titles, including Room Zoom, and World Championship Snooker. Additionally, Anthony has written scores for large-scale outdoor events and art installations, including an electronic soundtrack for 'Ghost Peloton', an integral part of the Tour de France celebrations in Leeds, 2014. This was an ambitious, large-scale outdoor installation featuring an hypnotic performance of light, sound and movement, by choreographed cyclists in light suits, and performed for an audience of over 4,000 in Leeds, over 2 nights. He was also commissioned to write a score for 'Spectre' - part of the Tour De France Grand Depart Opening Ceremony, and contributed the full soundtrack for filmmaker Mark Huskisson's short film 'Ghost Peloton', shown during the Tour De France 'Grand Depart' TV footage and to a global audience. The film received its official premiere in Glasgow, in November 2014, to great acclaim. It subsequently won the Animated Com Award, in the Technology category at the International Festival of Animated Film, in Stuttgart. In August 2015, Anthony was commissioned by Phoenix Dance to compose an original 7-minute rhythmic/orchestral piece, to accompany a large-scale dance performance during half time at the Challenge Cup Final, at Wembley Stadium, London, UK. Anthony was also composer on the official Leeds bid for the European City of Culture 2023. Commissioned by Sharon Watson, the work comprised a 3 minute original piece which underpinned a recording of a local poet, reciting a bespoke poem about the city. Performed at the official bid, in London, March 2016.
