High School: The Collegiate School Hometown: Richmond, Virginia Height: 6'6"" Weight: 240 lbs. Wilton Speight was born December 6, 1994. He is enrolled in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts, majoring in General Studies. Wilton's brother, Jess, is a freshman offensive lineman for the Wolverines. He has played in 19 career games and started 12 games at quarterback. Wilton was named co-Offensive Player of the Game against the University of Central Florida on September 10, 2016, after going 25 of 37 passing for 312 yards and four touchdowns. His 21 of 34 passing for 189 yards and one touchdown against Penn State on September 24, 2016 earned him co-Offensive Player of the Week honors. After completing nearly 70 percent of his passes (16 of 23) for 253 yards and two scores against Illinois on October 22, 2016, Wilton was named Offensive Player of the Game. On November 5, 2016, Wilton earned Offensive Player of the Game honors, after setting career-highs in completion percentage (79 percent) and yards (362). He also broke the Michigan record for most first-half passing yards (292), while leading Michigan to over 600 yards of offense, 10.0 yards per play and a season-high 31 first downs. Wilton has 2,611 career passing yards and 19 touchdowns.
