Kharl was born in Les Cayes, Haiti, to a doctor and a lawyer as parents. He was raised in the third and only flat city of the country, filled with beaches, and occasionally, he would make trips to the countryside for vacation, where his grandparents lived. Until his high school years, his life was spent in Haiti, and then he moved to the United States to focus on his higher education. He was first accepted to Rosemont College in Pennsylvania, but it was not long until his intense curiosity led him to San Francisco to train in acting. He immediately began studying the Meisner technique under the renowned acting coach and actor himself, Peter Gray Lewis. The teaching veteran, in addition to teaching Kharl, has acted opposite of Robert De Niro, James Franco, Edward Norton, Seth Rogen and Christopher Meloni. Years of hard work have pushed Kharl's productions to film festivals such the Canada International film festival, the Oaxaca festival, Egypt film festival and Urban Mediamakers just to name a few. While Kharl was working on his craft with an improv team, a fashion model, Caina Field, saw a spark in him and suggested he goes to a casting for Scout Modeling Agency. Easily enticed by the agents, it was not long before Kharl signed his contract, and in the following years would be the face of brands such as Levis, North Face, Walmart, Jansport, Everlane, and even had his time walking down the runway. Between acting and modeling, Kharl is also a very skilled painter who mixes photo realism and surrealism to create works that have left a mark everywhere he goes. Kharl has been painting even before he could write or even speak his first word as a kid, and is quick to point out art as his first love, one he can't live without. But he loves to take the time out of his schedule to visit his family or go on travels around the world, collecting new experiences through photography.
