Amanda Plummer was born and raised on the vibrant streets of the Bronx, New York. She comes from a Caribbean background and is the youngest of five. Amanda has been in love with entertainment from a very young age. Throughout her childhood you could find her singing or dancing in church, at piano or voice lessons, or starring in her school plays. It was clear that Amanda loved the stage and found joy in always putting on a show for others. Amanda is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Throughout her college years Amanda was very involved on her campus and in her surrounding community. One of the highlights of her college career was becoming involved with pageantry. Amanda won the title of Miss Black and Gold 2014 under the Tau Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Scholarship Pageant. She also won the title of Miss Green and Gold 2017 under the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant in the Miss America system. Her pageant career gave her the opportunity to go into different schools and organizations to speak about her platform, Royalty. It was then that she realized she had a passion for public speaking and had a platform that could have an impact on future generations. She is now fully pursuing an acting career while simultaneously working to speak to children and youth about her program Royalty one community at a time. She has taken several theatre classes during her time at Baylor. She has also had the opportunity to work with other film students on their short films. Post graduation she joined an acting class and continues to train and perfect her craft. Amanda appreciates her small roles, or working as an extra on different sets because she loves the experience and growth it brings her. She will continue to work towards her goals of being a well rounded actress and motivational speaker.
