Producer, screenwriter and professional critic. In 2011, she graduated with honors with a Bachelor in Social Communication, with a concentration in Audiovisual production, which has allowed her to participate in multiple projects, such as short films, music videos, educational campaigns, and short documentaries. Following up on her education, she obtained a Master's Degree in Screenwriting in 2019. In her last year of the bachelor's, she was the producer of Semana Más Corta Short Film Festival, a national event. Previous to her role as producer, she participated in this festival and received two awards: Best Educational Campaign for Madre Ozama (2014), an audiovisual campaign oriented towards families that live nearby the Ozama river (Santo Domingo, D.R.); and Best Cinematography for Página en Blanco (2014), a short film about the last living days of the Dominican journalist Orlando Martinez and the events surrounding his assassination. In both projects, she was part of the writing process, collaborated with the research, and assisted in coming up with ideas that would connect the film with its origin story. In January 2018, she wrote and produced a short film about cyber-bullying, called "Isn't this a crime?", that ended up as Runner-Up in the All Rise International Film Competition. In January 2019, she ended up finalist in the Sundance Lab for writers. In July 2019, she won the Stephanie Rothman Fellowship for female filmmakers with her TV pilot script, Exorcism 101. In 2021, she launched her production company, "Camuy Films", focused on the production of web series, art videos and transmedia projects. She is currently working on two personal projects: a web series that portrays the male chauvinism of the Dominican Republic entitled "Antología del Estado Natural", and a Docuseries exploring the different provinces in the country called "Quisqueya: Historias de Adentro". Her stories are generally related to social issues, such as migration, gender equality, racism, hate crimes, injustice, and corruption. She plans to continue writing stories for movies, TV series or web-series, that mirror what's going on in our world, with a more specific view pertaining the Hispanic population; with stories both, located in their particular countries and also their lives abroad.
