Rashid Mlongo

Rashid Mlongo,also known as Renegade, is a Malawian actor, rapper and model. He is best known for playing the lead role in the South African web series Hot Mess. Rashid has also released his debut rap album "Saved", Under the pseudonym "Renegade". Rashid was born in Mzuzu, Malawi on April 17th 1985. Two years later his Parents immigrated to Stanger, on the east coast of South Africa. Rashid frequently visits his home country with his family and has strong roots there. Rashid spent most of his life pursuing a career in the music and film industry, scoring roles in low budget films such as Xenophobia- the aftermath - (2010), and Finding home - (2014). He frequently writes and releases music as a hip hop artist. Rashid Launched his very own Record Label Renegade Music and entertainment, which published his debut solo album "Saved" in March 2020. In between pursuing his lifelong dreams, Rashid worked a job as an administrator for a South African private hospital group.
