This is an action-adventure movie for Christmas 2024, with excellent actors, such as Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and Chris Evans (who we know as Captain America, among so many movies). The theme is that these characters must rescue Santa, who has been kidnapped, and thus save Christmas. Something we have seen a thousand times before.
Seeing that these magnificent actors will be in this movie, we immediately thought it would be a blockbuster. However, it wasn't. For some reason, I found it tiresome, annoying, predictable, and not at all impressive. It's obvious that if you put the best scenes in the movie's trailer, there will undoubtedly be nothing that will catch our attention during its release.

It's just that when we see the trailer, see the actors and the big polar bear, we already imagine that it will be something epic. An adventure full of mythical creatures and complicated situations at the height of the characters and whose quest will be as frenetic as that of the movie Taken. Which kept us glued to our seats and made us feel the desperation of the main character in every second since the beginning of the action. But in this one, we don't even feel any empathy for the loss of a Santa Claus who isn't even fat.

Clearly, this is a “kids” movie—or at least I thought it would be—and for that reason, I shouldn't expect so much. However, there are scenes with violence and pun jokes that only we grown-ups understand (and enjoy).
Amazingly, they put so much into the movie and yet it goes nowhere. Cutting-edge technologies, magic, fantastic creatures, and cool elements with which to create a great story. However, even the appearance of a character like the headless horseman felt like filler that we immediately needed to remember.

Don't get me wrong, I love children's movies. I still haven't killed the kid that lives inside me, even though I've been on these bones for a few years now. I was enchanted and enamored by the movie Wild Robot (Who hasn't? I've seen it more than 10 times).
The plot is meaningless, it's just action scenes, one after the other, and in the middle, they try to put a message of love, understanding, tolerance, and those things that “supposedly” the Christmas spirit brings out. You can tell there is no defined arc. Suddenly, I didn't even know why they went to see an evil creature that turned out to be Santa's brother. Definitely, the script is mediocre, empty, and predictable.

They could have exploited the toy store transportation passageway. Things that are taken for granted and do not give the time to assimilate, making us not give the necessary importance.
And obviously, there is no lack of a forced ending with a lesson of humanity to fit the atmosphere and the meaning of the Christmas season. The power of love solves everything.
Evidently, there must be a reason, and it appears they're behind the Red One crew. Amazon MGM Studios' Christmas movie was supposed to be released in December 2023. Go figure, a year ago. But sadly its release was delayed to hit theaters later this year 2024. Some reasons indicate that it may have been due to its big star, The Rock, who was responsible for this modification of the calendar.
As my grandmother used to say: Eyes we see, hearts we don't know.
In short, it is one of those movies to watch on a Sunday morning at home. During those moments when you have nothing else to do, or you need to keep the TV on, and also distract yourself by watching TikTok or answering text messages.
So… If you ask me about this movie, I will say:
