When Japanese freighters are mysteriously destroyed near Odo Island, the government dispatches an investigation team. On the island, the team discovers massive radioactive footprints, pointing to a colossal sea creature. The locals call it "Godzilla," an ancient monster awakened by underwater hydrogen bomb tests. As Godzilla ravages Tokyo, humanity's only solution may be even more dangerous than the monster itself.

Koji Kobayashi, a spotter for a Japanese fishing fleet crash lands his plane on a barren island. His best friend, Shoichi Tsukioka, manages to find him and lands his plane next to his so he can be rescued. The two pilots are shocked when they encounter two giant monsters fighting each other and race back to Japan to inform the authorities. One of the monsters is identified as a second Godzilla, while the other one is identified as a prehistoric monster named Anguirus. Without the weapon that killed the first Godzilla, countermeasures are developed in an attempt to divert the monsters away as they make landfall in Osaka. Japan can only brace for tragedy as they have to suffer through the horror of Godzilla once more.

Original Japanese version. Tako, advertising director of Pacific Pharmaceuticals, is frustrated by the low viewership of their sponsored documentary show and realizes that he needs a more sensationalist approach. He orders two of his men, Sakurai and Furue, on an expedition to Faro Island to investigate a legendary monster called King Kong and exploit it for advertising. Just as the expedition is underway, Godzilla emerges from an iceberg and sets his sights towards Japan, sparking a media frenzy that steals publicity away from Tako's own monster. As Kong is captured and hauled back to Japan, people begin to wonder which monster is stronger and capable of beating the other. Tako realizes the marketability of King Kong facing off against Godzilla as the two monsters are pitted against each other in the biggest wrestling match of all time.

Journalists Ichiro Sakai and Junko Nakanishi cover the wreckage of a typhoon when an enormous egg is found by local villagers. The pair joins up with Professor Miura and discover that the egg has been sold off to Mr. Kumayama of Happy Enterprises. Backed by the greedy Jiro Torahata, the businessmen seek to commercially exploit the egg. Mothra's fairies soon arrive and are aided by the journalists in a plea for the egg's return to Mothra and Infant Island. As their requests are denied, Godzilla emerges from the typhoon wreckage and heads toward Nagoya. Having lost their good will, Sakai, Junko, and Miura must make a plea of their own to Mothra and the people of Infant Island to help save Japan from Godzilla.

Reporter Naoko is interviewing members of a UFO club when a large meteor lands in Kurobe Valley. Meanwhile, her detective brother Shindo is assigned to protect the foreign Princess Salno, only for her to be seemingly assassinated before her arrival in Japan. While the meteor is investigated, Salno emerges under the guise of a Venusian prophetess and catches the attention of Naoko and Mothra's twin fairies. She prophecies the return of Godzilla, Rodan, as well as the arrival of a powerful space monster called King Ghidorah. As Shindo, Naoko, and the fairies protect Salno, the infant Mothra must persuade Godzilla and Rodan to set aside their differences to unite and save the world from Ghidorah.

Astronauts Glenn and Fuji are sent to investigate Planet X, a newly discovered planet located just beyond Jupiter. Back on Earth, Fuji's younger sister Haruno meets with her boyfriend inventor Tetsuo Torii. He has developed a sound device that he sells off to a toy company represented by a woman named Ms. Namikawa. On planet X, Glen and Fuji encounter mysterious aliens known as the Xiliens. They seek the aid of Earth's people to help save their world from "Monster Zero". In exchange for borrowing Godzilla and Rodan, the Xiliens offer a cure for cancer. As Glenn investigates, he develops a romance with Namikawa and uncovers the Xilien's true intentions.

Ryota is a young man searching for his missing brother, Yata. He joins up with his friends Nita and Ichino as they sneak on board a ship supposedly belonging to Yoshimura, a career criminal escaping from the authorities. As the group sets sail, they are caught in a storm and attacked by a monstrous crustacean. Shipwrecked on Letchi Island, they find that the natives of Mothra's Infant Island have been enslaved by the Red Bamboo, a terrorist organization manufacturing nuclear weapons. The terrorists force the natives to process a juice that holds off the monster crustacean, Ebirah, spawned from the nuclear waste of the Red Bambo. The men meet up with a native escapee named Daiyo as they stumble upon Godzilla sleeping on the island. The groups sets up a plan to awaken Godzilla to defeat the Red Bamboo terrorists and liberate the natives.

A plane spots Godzilla heading off to an island in the South Seas named Sollgel, with the monster seemingly being called there. Reporter Goro Maki soon stumbles on Sollgel and finds scientists conducting weather experiments to feed a growing global population. He soon discovers that the experiments have mutated mantises in giants named Kamacuras. As Maki explores the island, he finds a cast away woman named Saeko as the weather experiments inadvertently cause the mantises to grow even bigger. The mantises soon uncover a giant egg which contains a defenseless infant that is rescued by Godzilla. Maki and Saeko soon observe Godzilla adopt the infant as the monster learns to care for the child and raise it as one of his own.

Tells a story of Earth's giant monsters, including Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan, being controlled by alien invaders and attacking major cities. This film is a must-watch for fans of the kaiju genre, with epic monster battles, impressive practical effects, and a fun sci-fi plot.

Ichiro is a highly imaginative, but lonely, boy growing up in urbanized and industrial district of Kawasaki. Every day he comes home to the empty apartment he shares with his railroad worker father and his restaurant hostess mother, his only friends being a toy maker name Shinpei Inami and a girl named Sachicko. Ichiro finds himself the victim of a gang kids led by a bully nicknamed Gabara. To escape his loneliness, Ichiro turns to escapist fantasies and imagines himself on Monster Island and befriending Minillia, the son of Godzilla. Through his friendship with Minilla, Ichiro confronts his solitude and face his fears.

Coming to Earth on a meteorite that falls to Earth, a microscopic alien life form later named Hedorah feeds on Earth's pollution and eventually grows into a gigantic, ever-evolving, poisonous smog-spewing and acidic sludge-secreting monster. Godzilla, Earth's defender, senses the threat and meets ''the Smog Monster'' head-on in a literal battle for Earth's survival.

Aliens from space plan to conquer the world using space monsters Gigan and King Ghidrah, which they control from their secret headquarters inside the head of the Godzilla-replica building at a theme park. The only thing that can stop them is the combined efforts of Godzilla and Anguirus.

Nuclear tests cause shock-waves that reach Monster Island and start to break the island apart. In Japan, inventor Goro Ibuki, along with his little brother Rokuro and friend Hiroshi, survive an aftershock that drains Lake Kitayama. Returning home, the trio are attacked by a trespasser, an agent for the undersea nation of Seatopia. Lead by Emperor Antonio, the Setopians steal a robot invented by Goro named Jet Jaguar. Awakening their monster god, Megalon, the Setopians command Jet Jaguar to guide Megalon in attacking the surface world. However, when Jet Jaguar breaks free and summons Godzilla into the fray, the Setopians request aid from M Space Hunter Nebula Aliens. A tag team match soon ensues between Godzilla and Jet Jaguar against Megalon and Gigan.

Aliens intend to take over the planet and, just in case Godzilla tries to interfere, have built a mechanical version of him to put an end to his interference. The Earth humans summon the legendary King Shîsâ to assist Godzilla in the battle.

A submarine expedition to salvage the remains of Mechagodzilla is thwarted by a massive dinosaur named Titanosaurus. Biologist Akira Ichinose is brought in by INTERPOL as an investigation is launched. Ichinose's inquiry leads to him to meet Katsura Mafune and uncover the work of her seemingly late father, Dr. Mafune, a brilliant scientist shunned by the scientific community. Dr. Mafune is revealed to be alive and aligned with the Black Hole Aliens, who seek to unleash a reconstructed Mechagodzilla 2 along with Titanosaurus on Tokyo and defeat Godzilla. Ichinose heads off to save Katsura before she loses her humanity to the monsters she controls against Godzilla.
