Commander Anne Capestan was given the command of the "4th Brigade", a brigade of the judicial police in Lyon, then in Lille, to which only alcoholic, depressed and maladjusted police officers were assigned. She herself was still suffering from the trauma of having been accused, 5 years earlier, of accidentally shooting a colleague, Duteil, which had earned her a suspension from the BRI.
