Zoe hasn't smiled in 25 years - ever since her daughter died. Struggling to get by, she works two jobs to support her family. After an accident, Zoe has a near death experience in the "in-between". When the doctors bring her back to life, Zoe starts receiving visits from dead people who left this world unexpectedly and abruptly. Seeking for closure, they ask her to help them complete their final mission. Through this journey, Zoe acquires new skills, builds her self-esteem, finds her calling and finally the strength to come to terms with the loss of her own child. At its core, this is a story about acceptance, loss, death, closure, afterlife and female empowerment through the eyes of two very lonely women from completely different walks of life.
