La trilogie marseillaise (2000)

Adaptation made in 2000 of the famous set of three plays written by Marcel Pagnol. In the port of Marseilles in France, young Marius is torn between the love for his girlfriend Fanny, and the wayfaring adventure of the sea. Complications ensue involving Cesar, the devoted father of Marius, and Honorine, the protective mother of Fanny, as a prosperous friend Panisse will have a significant affect on the future of all of their relationships. The resolution will hopefully be a romantic yet practical set of decisions for the concern and well-being of everyone..
