Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto is a talented chef who has been making a name for himself in the world of high cuisine, but when a family misfortune occurs, he returns to Chicago to take over a family restaurant. His standards and attempts to innovate in the kitchen are resisted by the employees, while he faces a tense relationship with his family. A wonderfully written series with a tremendous performance by Jeremy Allen White, funny, uncomfortable and emotional to keep an eye on in the abundant series offerings.
