The three cousins of the Zheng's family were as close as siblings since childhood. Zheng Dongni, the eldest sister, had a rebellious and outspoken personality due to her parents' extremely bad relationship. She longed to go abroad and finally married in Germany after many setbacks. Before leaving, she wanted to break up her younger brother Zheng Xijue's relationship with his girlfriend Chen Yan and take Xijue with her abroad. Zheng Xijue, who lost his parents at a young age, was raised by his third uncle and aunt. He was determined to stay in Longcheng to repay his extended family. He helped his younger uncle, who suffered from injustice, to change his life, but he himself suffered from a heartbreaking love loss. Fortunately, Dongni's best friend Jiang Yi appeared in time, and the two gradually developed feelings for each other. Dongni's marriage to her Ph.D. husband, Fang Jinghui, turned into a mess, leading to a divorce and child custody battle that ensued from abroad to Longcheng. After experiencing her father's illness and mother's death, Dongni was exhausted and relied on Xijue's care. Zheng Nanyin, the youngest sister, grew up in a perfect family and had the protection of her siblings. To rebel against her mother's control, she got married in college but didn't expect her campus marriage to be so difficult. She often had to return to the extended family to heal. Jiang Yi found it difficult to accept Zheng Xijue's care for his cousins and wanted him to leave Longcheng. Their relationship reached the brink of breaking. The three cousins paid the price for the imprints left by their original families, and new setbacks kept appearing. Eventually, they understood the warmth and care that Zheng Xijue provided them with, which seemed useless but were the true essence of family and the source of growth.
