The Hudson Bay route from Western Canada was a trail taken by Voyageurs to bring goods and mail through the Canadian wilderness, in particular the treacherous Rocky Mountain valleys and rough rivers, as well as the Prairies and the cold tundra plains of Northern Manitoba. The ten contestants from USA and Canada have to take this road with no fuel, nor GPS to help navigate, with a canoe named Wanda and have to rely on rations from seven points during the road. The contestants have a chance to win $500.000 if they arrive in York Factory (Manitoba) from Castlegar B.C. (Canada) in less than 28 days.
