Win a Home (2014)

South Africa's premier interior design reality television series competition, with five seasons produced to date. The show follows the journey of three competing aspiring design contestant pairs (know as Design Duos) as they convert three identical white-box cluster homes into designer living spaces, one room at a time. In various seasons the homes vary between penthouse apartments and self standing cluster development homes (in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban) The Design Duos battle it out, room challenge by room challenge, installing kitchens, bathrooms and even landscaping. All this in a bid to claim the title as South Africa's best emerging interior designers. There are two prizes up for grabs. The first is the Judges Choice Prize; where a panel of expert judges decide on a winning team who receives a R100 000 cash prize and the accolade of best designers. Then the public also have their say and vote online for their favorite Design Duo, resulting in the Viewer's Choice Prize of R20 000 to the Duo. By voting online, the South African viewers stand a chance of winning the Grand Prize; their choice of one of the fully furnished homes as completed by the Design Duos.
