Exactly 25 years ago, in early 1995, all of the Netherlands was under the spell of the dikes in Limburg and the Rivierenland region, which were about to breach. The dangerously high water levels of the Meuse, Rhine and Waal rivers led to one of the largest evacuations in recent Dutch history: 250,000 residents were evacuated. The impending flood had an enormous impact on the lives of a great many people. Various people involved recount their experiences. The series contains much, partly never before broadcast, archive footage of the impending flood and never before shown footage by video amateurs.
