Andrey Klimov, an investigator of the Investigative Committee, refuses lucrative offers of work in private companies or career advancement, since he considers his goal not to be routine "paper" work as a corrupt official, but to serve the highest ideals: the triumph of justice, exposure of criminals, regardless of their financial well-being and position in society. Knowing the laws clearly and demanding their strict implementation, he does not make concessions even to the most influential and wealthy people of the city.
