There is a small town in the north, located near a secret military base. The town has all the usual things: a school, a hospital, and a store - but visitors sense something odd about the place. It is a town governed by unspoken rules. The town, with its own administration, seems like the perfect place for anyone looking to start over. But few realize that once they end up in this place, there is no getting out again. A young girl named Alice lives in this town. She has problems with her mother and at school. She also has terrifying dreams that show her the future. Alice longs to run away from home with her only friend. Will they be able to leave a town that has never let anyone go?
