'El fin del camino' is a historical fiction contextualized at the end of the 11th century, around the first years of the construction of the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The Galician capital becomes the center of an argument that has as main characters the three Catoira brothers: Pedro, Gonzalo, and Esteban. The plot of the three family members takes place in real historical circumstances and their adventures are a review of the history of Spain. The conquest of Toledo by King Alfonso VI in 1085 along with the Almoravid invasion and in full Christian Reconquest, are the background of a fiction in which two of Catoira's brothers see how their third brother is arrested by the Muslims. After this setback, Esteban and Gonzalo focus their efforts on Pedro's release.
