Cecile's Plot (2017)

Nao Miyaji, a down-to-earth, contented housewife and mother of teenage boy, has no interest in dressing up. However, her life completely changes one day after she happens to get scouted by Junko Kurosawa, the chief editor of popular female magazine Vanity, to be a model. Nao steps into the world of a fashion magazine that she has never even read before despite her prejudice against its superficiality that absolutely does not agree with her and her own reluctance to "looking beautiful". She gradually begins to discover a new set of values in the process of coming in contact with Eri Okita, a writer who is at a critical stage in her career, and Yukako Hamaguchi, a stunningly beautiful and professional top model. That is the female desire to be beautiful and to be loved at all times.
