The Society (2018)

Elena Fraser is a 21 year old girl coming home to her folks after a bad semester at school. When her mom (Meryl Fraser) finds out that she is in academic probation she freaks out, explaining how she just wants her to have a good steady life. This prompts Elena to show her insecurities with her decisions and her place in life at that time. She dreams of having an interesting job that would allow her to talk to people and not get stuck in a cubicle for the rest of her life. After the argument with her parents she decides to go out to visit her friend Jonesy. After a drunken night she comes home to an empty house. Elena, in her intoxicated state doesn't realize that anything is wrong, until the next day when she wakes up. When Elena wakes up at six in the evening she realizes that the house was broken into and her parents are gone. With no clues other than a crossword puzzle on the table and the help of her best friend, she will have to uncover the truth behind what really happened.
