The Mistress (1985)

Maxine (Felicity Kendal) is the manager of a florist shop, she is also having an affair with married man Luke Carpente, whose wife Helen (Jane Asher), is totally unaware of the affair. And although Maxine often feels guilty about the affair, she is a generally optimistic and happy person. Similar to Carla Lane's other sitcoms, including Butterflies and Solo (which also starred Felicity Kendal), The Mistress has a serious theme - here, that of an affair. The Mistress aired for two series, each of six 30 minute episodes, from January 1985 to February 1987.
