Bordertown (1995)

The struggles and triumphs of a group of immigrants to Australia in the 1950s as they wait in a refugee camp. It shows a year in their lives and the many things they must go through; some must learn a new language; others must navigate a completely culture from that of their home country. The spotlight mostly focuses on a girl named Louise, her father, and their dealings with other people in the camp.
