Babar (1989)

There is some kissing, elephant characters hold trunks and hug in some scenes, but there is no nudity, no sexual dialogue and no innuendo jokes.

The character Lady Rataxes wears a dress in some scenes which shows the shape of her behind through it.

Babar is seen in his boxer shorts once.

Cornelius's underwear are hung (as a prank) from a flagpole which Troubadour is putting up for the morning.

Rataxes pants split while he is exercising in one scene, and his bare behind is briefly visible.

Animal characters are drawn on occasion without clothing, but they are not "naked", nor are they drawn with any genitalia, and they all obtain clothing later on.

Babar is seen in a pair of polka dotted boxer shorts, which later Celeste tells him look "very cute" while they are in bed for the night.

Flora hides in a bathroom and photographs Cornelius without his knowledge while he is taking a bath. Nothing overly explicit is shown; he is only seen from the shoulders up in water.

Characters are seen in bathing suits with no tops on in various scenes, as well as characters wearing bathrobes at night.

Babar and Celeste lie to Cornelius and Pompadour, telling the two advisors that they are going to an "Aardvark Assembly" (a cover-up for their annual honeymoon anniversary). Later on, Cornelius and Pompadour indicate that they know about the cover-up.

On occasion, Young Celeste's panties are visible and sometime Flora and Isabelle's are too.

There are various scenes of characters in peril (getting trapped in a kitchen fire, getting stuck in a windstorm).

Characters get mildly injured in some scenes, such as Pompadour and Cornelius falling in a hot air balloon and seemingly ending up knocked out briefly, but they aren't severely hurt.

Rataxes often smashes furniture with his bare hands, yells violently and makes threats, tosses around and roughs up characters such as Basil and Pompadour, and he can at times appear quite menacing.

Animals are placed in cages and locked up with chains and ropes.

Characters are poisoned twice, both Madame and Flora,but both of them eventually recover.

Characters are frequently sent to Rataxes's dungeon and forcefully shoved in, but are rarely injured.

Zephir plays a prank on Pompadour by sending him a box which, when opened, presents a pop-up rhinoceros head on a spring. Pompadour becomes terrified and falls unconscious in front of the palace.

Characters faint and pass out on various occasions but are usually alright and not severely hurt.

Pompadour is electrocuted on-screen while attempting to rewire stage lights. He is seen uninjured in the next scene, though.

Madame Soretoza, a minor ostrich character, falls down a fake stage set staircase, but is unharmed.

Unnamed elephants are seen wearing casts in two scenes. In the first scene, Madame is wrapping an elephant's broken trunk in a cast. In another scene, an elephant is seen limping with a cast on his leg, and Babar advises him to get a wheelchair.

Troubadour is thrown into a stone water fountain by Princess Midge, but in spite of being a bit shaken up he is unharmed.

While laughing at a fake statue which Zephir has been mailed by Arthur in one scene, Cornelius jokingly slaps Pompadour and he hits his head against the malt shop counter.

A turtle is seen biting a man in the crotch, as well as turtles biting men on their noses, behinds and eyelids in an attempt to keep them from invading the jungle.

Babar and Basil are injured when two bikes collide. Babar is stuck in the spokes of the wheels, and Basil makes bizarre comments multiple times before passing out, which is repeated in the same scene.

Zephir (as a prank) removes the bolts from Arthur's bike, causing him to fall off as the bike falls apart while he rides it.

Babar chases Zephir around, threatening to "clobber" him.

There is mild name-calling ("crazy", "silly", "ridiculous", "pompous", "fool") but no swearing/cussing and no slurs.

Characters are often yelled at and ordered around, mostly by Rataxes, who is depicted as frequently verbally abusive to Basil.

There is no drug usage, alcohol drinking or smoking on the show. Characters have drinks but presumably it is water and soda.

In one scene a minor character mentions being splashed with water by a fireman as he was "lighting up", which older viewers will recognize as a smoking term but younger viewers might not pick up on it.

The adult elephant characters appear to have a vice for mangoes as a running joke; they gamble in a form of poker for mangoes at night, and Pompadour starts behaving erratically when Rataxes stops sending mangoes to Celesteville; he is seen jumping up and down, obsessively demanding mangoes, and eating mangoes whole when he finally gets access to them, which was very unlike his usual character.
