A personal and philosophical journey by Brian Keenan who was held hostage for four-and-a-half years in the Lebanon. The film is concerned with identity, conflict and courage - and Keenan's search for a spiritual home in Westport. County Mayo. Brian Keenan, who survived four and a half years as a hostage in Lebanon talks from his home in Westport, Co Mayo, about his experiences, the evolution of his philosophy and how his sense of national identity contributed to his survival. The film also features sequences on Thallabann Strand, the pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick, in the pub, and of Keenan reading to national school children.
