Movie Night (2014)

Kevin, Blake, Ashley and La'Sarah meet weekly for their friend Esther's movie nights, trying to shake off their real world lives for 120 minutes or so. Kevin is unhappy with his executive assistant job, while Blake is making a living as a background actor but dreams of that featured role. Their neighbor La'Sarah works odd jobs while pursuing her South African heritage as well as her adopted family's religion. Ashley usually arrives late from his well-paying but mysterious job. And Esther, well, she's just lucky to have such devoted friends. When Kevin's twin sister sends Jaynee, a naive girl from Hoboken, to Movie Night, all bets are off for the group. From love triangles to discussions about Judy Garland, classic film and job choices, the series follows our characters from the highs to the lows, and everywhere in-between.
