Popular music series, the first on British TV aimed at a teenage audience, where new rock and pop discs were played accompanied by images or dancers, introduced by Kent Walton reclining in an chair and often smoking a cigarette, with Ker Robertson handling the turntable. The series often had guests singing their latest tracks. It was shown weekly or twice-weekly, with a duration of 15 mins or 30 mins, and mostly transmitted live. The programme moved around the ITV schedule, sometimes screened early evening, sometimes late evening, and on different days.
