A Quiet Intruder (2023)

At Panashe and Zanele's third wedding anniversary, he makes a promise to purchase his wife's dream home, by winning a multi-million dollar contract with his business partner, for an aggro-tech AI powered prototype. The potential investors give Panashe and his business partner an almost impossible deadline, and Panashe as the engineer, works tirelessly to meet it. His long nights start to take a toll on his marriage, but he's still not making fast enough progress and soon seeks help from an ex-girlfriend, a fellow engineer. They work together and succeed. In the heat of victory, Panashe and the ex-girlfriend share a passionate night, which Panashe quickly wants to forget about, but the ex-girl is adamant she will not be forgotten. Zanele has her suspicions and confronts Panashe, who admits to the truth in the heat of the argument. Zanele is devastated and leaves Panashe, who later comes to beg for forgiveness. Zanele later learns that the ex-girlfriend was a hallucination and Panashe is mentally ill. He is admitted to a mental institution.
