Bilal grew up never being able to relate to his family's love of Spades (the card game). While they take it very seriously, Bilal simply feels out of place. One thing he does feel confident about is his relationship with his girlfriend, Taral. He decides to bring her to the next family gathering, all the while avoiding "the game" for as long as he can, as the rest of his family takes interest in revealing more and more about Bilal to Taral.
