Reverie

Washed up, one hit wonder, John Marks has spent the last 20 years trying to create a new bestselling novel, hoping to create something that comes close to his bestseller From the water. One day whilst his daughter is looking after him, he receives an odd letter calling him back to his childhood home, signed with the initials A.W, the initials of the protagonist of his novel. He decides to follow the calling and upon arrival he is met with Adeline Wright herself. She is angry with him for tossing her aside. She tells him repeatedly that she is the reason for his success, and claims that she wants to take her revenge for allowing himself to turn his back on her. In revenge, she kills him. It is revealed that Adeline was a figment of his imagination and he killed himself.
