Elderly Mary recounts her experiences of the death, burial, and resurrection of her son in this dynamic, gritty, and redeeming chapter of her life. Luke visits the elderly mother of Jesus in her home in Ephesus to interview her for the writing of his gospel. In this process, she confides in him her journey during, before, and after the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. The story is told in three progressive flash backs where Mary grieves her son after seeing him killed, speaks with him again after he is raised to life, and shares her experience of his ascension with a friend at the marketplace. The retelling causes her questions to surface about why she has been made to suffer so much and what the meaning was of a prophecy told to her when she was young.
