This is a film about the descendants of the Ming army who have lived in the Tunpu fortress in Guizhou for generations. The men in the community were involved in a horse gang, while the women planted tea, and they had lived in relative isolation until the Sino-Japanese War threatened their survival. In response to the threat, the two main Tunpu leaders put aside their past grievances and worked together to expel the invaders, who were carrying secret surveying and mapping information. The common Tunpu inhabitants also fought bravely, paying a heavy price in blood and fire to defend their home and demonstrating the iron-willed passion of the descendants of the Ming army with their sacrifices.
