Greenland's greatest singer, Rasmus Lyberth, has been celebrated for his powerful songs through 5 decades. Now he turns 70. In humility over being celebrated, Rasmus decides to honor his Greenlandic audience with a magnificent concert. The film follows Rasmus Lyberth before and during the anniversary concert in Greenland. Along the way Rasmus talks about his career which he began as an unpopular articulator of taboos but which later gave him immense success. Rasmus also reveals the magical moment in Finland where he receives a sign defining his entire career as a musician. "The Voice of Greenland" is a touching journey into Rasmus Lyberth's universe of faith, hope and love. It shows how his voice, in more than one sense, has become the voice of Greenland. Famous Nordic musicians like Niels Hausgaard, Teitur and Julie Berthelsen paint a nuanced image of the unique singer.
