A group of joiners, on their way to a weekend getaway in a pristine island resort accidentally ends up in a remote fisherman's village that will change their lives forever. ANGELICA, resists the idea of church because her mom ANGELA made things right with her father because of her born-again experience when she was only ten. She just wants to see her father again, she misses having him around. She resents her mom's decision and had an argument before leaving for this trip. Thankfully, she has her cute and bubbly BFF BESSIE with her to lighten her mood. RANDY was supposed to be with this girlfriend but she broke up with him at the last minute. JEROME is the self-imposed leader of the group. Most traveled and experienced. He is an orphan, misses being able to take care of his parents. TRIXIE, turning eighteen during the trip. She is a Gen-Z. She just wants to have the most Instagrammable "island tour" gift from her parents. She wants approval from her peers, but she seems always ignored. Her parents want her to be something she's not. They all meet MANG FRED, NANAY ANITA, and their daughter JENJEN, and took home some invaluable lessons in life from the simple fisher folk.
