Sighsten - ett porträtt (1990)

In the middle of the summer 1987 the fashion designer Sighsten Herrgård released the news that he was afflicted with AIDS. Sweden got its first celebrity with AIDS who immediately became "a face" for the disease, which was then the number one social problem in people's minds. Back then, in 1987, there was a lot of talk that Sighsten had a short time left to live. No one dared to believe that he would survive Christmas that year, and a TV news crew immediately set about documenting his life.
