Toothbreaker (2022)

Sonia, a socially reserved young woman, is convinced by her outgoing friend Cate to attend an underground clandestine rave. When they arrive, Sonia starts immediately regretting her decision. Bright music, loud lights, and distasteful men welcome her all at once. For Cate, it's a different story. She is greeted from the get-go by Jonas, a seemingly kind and funny man who shows interest in her. This discrepancy between the different ways in which the two women experience the rave unearths pockets of frustration and jealousy that lead to a dizzying crescendo followed by a booming climax that will have audiences leave the theater unsure about what exactly they're feeling.
