Growing up Fransaskois, filmmaker and musician Alexis Normand's family felt torn between English and Francophone cultures. As a singer, Alexis' feelings of unease deepened as audiences ticked her off as a linguistic minority. In this sensitive short, Alexis brings these conversations back to the kitchen table, candidly exploring her family's relationship and place in Fransaskois culture and just what linguistic acceptance might look like in the Canadian Prairies.
