Hurricane 6 (2022)

Hurricane 6 tells the story of the famed Storm of 1933 that created Ocean City's inlet in an interesting way; through contemporary dance. By using eco-feminist concepts, SIEDC creates research-based works that center around the connection between time, place, natural landscapes, and women's experiences. They centered their next film right in the town of Ocean City. Hurricane 6 incorporates true stories that encapsulate how this historical event impacted the economy and society of Ocean City today, commenting on the diverse landscapes between Assategaue and Ocean City, all while highlighting the importance of women entrepreneurs and generational traditions.
