In the midst of their own personal struggles, Milagros enjoys the fleeting freedom of her youth, seeking sperm donors, while Jonathan grapples with abandonment issues through online connections, finding solace in Grindr. Their paths intertwine in a wild road trip filled with music and self-discovery, filmed entirely in 16mm. Along the way, they encounter a mystical mermaid whose presence adds a touch of magic to their journey, leading them toward unexpected revelations and adventures.
