Yakup grandfather, a former sailor, lives with his grandson, Cavidan. Cavidan is a heirloom from his late daughter, Melodi. Yakup grandfather has diabetes and his disease has progressed. He also loves to eat. Despite all of Cavidan's efforts, he secretly scratches harmful food. Yakup grandfather also has two more daughters named Çiçek and Irmak.
