Documentary film presenting the Gdansk Shipyard and its key role in regaining freedom in the countries of the Eastern Bloc. The shipyard workers' strike of 1980, the creation of "Solidarity" and its activities until 1989 had an impact not only on the history of Poland, but also contributed to the fall of the Iron Curtain, and thus the fall of communism in Europe. For this reason, the Shipyard is not only a place of unique industrial heritage, but also a symbol of the idea of solidarity, freedom, justice, peaceful revolution and an inspiration for oppressed societies demanding recognition of universal rights of inviolability of human dignity, equality, decent working conditions - values that are timeless.
