For five years, Lars Norén's work was concentrated entirely on writing; diaries, poetry, novels and plays were delivered in a torrent to publishers and theatres. And so he completed a work he had been working on for nearly ten years: a work with 100 scenes, 100 images depicting Sweden's path from peasant society to our present day. A four-hour stage piece, without dialogue. A play that unfolds in what happens beyond words. Journalist and filmmaker Bobo Ericzén followed Lars Norén's work with "Still Life" from the first presentation for Dramaten to the premiere five years later. During the rehearsal work, Bobo was there every day and the result was a documentation of a unique creative process with several of Sweden's leading actors, set designer Charles Coroly and Lars Norén.
