Monkey or Man (2022)

Sunshine the Clown's circus business is failing. He is about to smoke his problems away with an excessively large joint when Mandy the Acrobat enters their backstage area, ready to quit. The show is going horrendously, the crowd are hating it, and she's had enough. Just as she is about to pack her bags and leave, in comes Malcolm the Strongman. He's having an excellent time and loves any attention he can get from the crowd. Sunshine, thinking he has done enough to convince Mandy to stay, runs out of the tent to perform his act. Once he has left, Mandy enlightens Malcolm about her ambitions of becoming a nutritionist, but he begs her to stay. Nothing he can do will convince her. That is until Sunshine re-enters, having witnessed the lion eat Mansour the Marvellous Lion Tamer. In a moment of desperation and panic, Sunshine decides he has to run back into the tent and face the lion to save his companion Charlie the Smoking Chimp. Mandy and Malcolm are ready to leave in the clown's 48-seater car but faced with an impossible decision, Mandy realises what is most important to her; her friends. She runs back in to help, followed reluctantly by a terrified strongman.
