Between 1832 and 1834, with only 22 years, the once-unknown English naturalist CHARLES DARWIN visited Argentina by joining the HMS Beagle expedition. The trip, of vital importance to his following theoretical elaborations, allowed him an interview with the already notorious JUAN MANUEL DE ROSAS, who was commanding a campaign against The Unfaithful, in the critical period that separated his two administrations.
