How Russia is dying. Devastation, theft and death in the Russian village (2020)

Throughout Russia, villages have been rapidly dying out for several decades. But, perhaps, nowhere is this manifested as clearly as in the Tver region. Mitya Aleshkovsky and Ilya Varlamov went to the wilderness of Tver to see the abandoned villages with their own eyes, talk with their last inhabitants and try to understand why the Russian village is disappearing.
