Ico is a boy who was born with horns on his head, which is part of a curse in his town. As part of his customs, he is taken to an underground temple and locked in a sarcophagus. Ico manages to get out of his confinement to find himself during his escape to Yorda, a young woman who speaks in an unknown language, together they will try to escape. "Ico: Light and Shadow" is a feature film scripted and directed by filmmaker Anatael Pérez. It is based on the 2001 video game "Ico" created by Fumito Ueda, also author of the emblematic "Shadow of the Colossus" and "The Last Guardian". The film has been shot entirely on the Island of La Palma, between 2012 and 2013 in total secrecy, extending its post-production and editing over the following years to the present day. The work stars first-timers Sergio Castro and Mariela Candelario, who together with a small team undertook the daunting task of shooting a totally independent fantasy film.
