A brief introduction features some real-life Spanish musicians to tell the story of Metralla, a 4-members rock band (Janis - singer, Miguel - electric guitar, Valen - drum, and Pollo - bass) that suddenly went into the mass success with their first album "Por tus muertos" in 1989, and how hours before of their first live concert, they disappeared for not to coming back, leaving some urban legends about it. After that, the movie follows Miguel, whose life is everything but happy: alone and owner of a music shop under threat to be evicted by the bank because low sellings, his luck seems to change when he receives a call of Ordúñez (a famous music manager) with an offer: reunite the band to play for the Warner Music's manager and her daughter, who is an avid fan of Metralla. Reluctant at first, Miguel accepts it finally and he looking for the rest of the band: Valen lives in a medical center to deal with his drug addiction and his compulsive gambler, and Janis is a frustrated secondary teacher with a workaholic husband obsessed with prosthetics and a stranded son who spends all his time in the virtual reality. But when Miguel and Valen find Pollo, bad luck happens and he dies by overdose just later for accepting to play. Desperate, Miguel, Valen and Janis find a replace for Pollo in the shape of a naive, good-hearted and good-mannered Josep Luis, who is renamed as Repollo. But then bad luck happens seriously: when they wake up to the next morning after a seemingly little celebration by reunite the band, they discover that really have passed three days, that the concert is in 24 hours and they are to half a country away from the place of the concert. Now is turn to come back to Madrid in time to play...if they don't ruin this second chance before for killing each other.
