This TV film 'Barry Sheene - Daytona 1975' documents Sheene's spectacular crash at 170mph during practice for the famous 'Daytona 200' in Florida, USA. The dangers that motorcycle racers were exposed to was highlighted in 1975 when a documentary crew were filming, as Barry Sheene crashed on the banked track at over 170 mph when his rear tire failed. The crash threatened to end his career, breaking his left thigh, right arm, collarbone and two ribs, yet he recovered and was racing again seven weeks afterwards.
