Hristina, o megalos erotas (1986)

Intrigued by the vivid portrait of a bright-eyed brunette, the work of an unconventional American artist living in Greece, Dimitris, an up-and-coming painter seeking inspiration, embarks on a mission to find the mysterious lady who captured his imagination. But the woman in the painting is real; Christina, a free-spirited romantic, spends her summer vacation in Ithaca with the love of her life, Orestis. Happiness, however, doesn't last forever. When temptation sets foot in the lovers' haven in the shape of the irresistible young painter, Christina believes she can prioritise her feelings. Now torn between true love and unreasoning infatuation, Christina is on the verge of a sad discovery. Does the heart always get what it wants?
